Set in a small Russian village in the late 19th century, the story follows Leon Tolchinsky, a schoolteacher who takes a new job educating a young woman. He soon learns that the town has been put under a 200-year old curse - a curse that makes all of the villagers suffer from Chronic Stupidity. Complications ensue when Leon falls in love with his pupil and only has 24-hours to break the curse or he too will become Stupid.

Reviews

  • I've been attending local theatre productions for years, and 'Fools' at Pickwick Playhouse is easily one of the best I've seen. The entire team deserves a standing ovation!"

  • The set and costumes were beyond community theater. The skilled actors became their roles and brought to life one of Neil Simon’s best plays. My only wish would be another weekend of performances!”

Dr. Zubritsky
Scott Saunders

Passionate about story-telling and the theatrical arts, Scott Saunders usually lends his support of the local theater through his role as a graphic designer. Now he is excited to take on a different role with Fools and make his adult, stage-acting debut – made even more special by doing it alongside his son Dylan and the rest of the wonderful cast, and under the direction of a very close friend. He is extremely grateful for the support of his family and friends and hopes that the collective joy that went into this production of Fools radiates out to all who have come to watch it... and that there will be many more shows in his future!

Before this biography gets too long, Cameron would like to thank her numerous sources of support for their constant encouragement as she grows in her love for the theater.
